Our Collective Community: Invested Women

We are pleased to announce our partnership with Invested Woman®. This new-age wealth management firm was founded by owner and chief executive manager, Jeff Runyan, of Runyan Capital in Beverly Hill. The team at Invested Woman® knows that investing can be daunting at first glance, so they have extended their hand to help guide you with an in-depth  conversation to help achieve your financial goals.

We invite you to join an exclusive CURATEUR member-only conversation hosted by the Invested Woman® team focused on empowering women to maximize their investments and increase the likelihood of a successful financial future. The conversation will take place on Tuesday, February 23rd at 12:00pm PST. You can access the Zoom link HERE Meeting ID: 942 2586 5605)

Ahead, we share the conversation had with Jeff Runyan about Invested Woman® and why it’s important to tap into our innate investment skills.

Hi Jeff, thank you for taking the time to speak with us. Can you tell us a little about your background and how Invested Woman® came to be?
I launched Invested Woman® as a platform to reach out to women and prospective clients who are interested in reaching new financial heights, but especially for those who may feel intimidated about conversations revolving around investments. What I’ve found with women we work with is, addressing these issues in a comfortable setting and confronting what the money can do for them can be more liberating and inviting, ushering in a newfound confidence. Our goal is to serve as a voice to empower women to feel comfortable and educated about their investments, so they are free to make choices and take actions that better lead them to economic success. These conversations occur with women that range in age from 35 to 75+, so it’s for every woman.

What sets Invested Woman® apart from other investment firms?

We help all individuals and households, but the specific goal of our Invested Woman® division is to use language that makes the investment arena more approachable and straightforward. We want to be the flicker that lights a flame in an environment to instill confidence and motivate you to harness your investing skills to increase your financial independence. Women naturally tend to exhibit a calm temperament, often enjoy a longer-term outlook, expend more effort in research for decision making, and are less reactionary to changes in investment values than men. These characteristics have historically led them to outperform their male counterparts. Our aim is to embrace those facts to help build confidence so you can channel those admirable traits to create a solid portfolio that motivates growth and supports you through a long and rewarding retirement.

What is Invested Woman®’s Mission?

Our mission is to promote women’s participation in stock and bond investments in today’s financial market, so women have greater tendencies towards financial success, keeping them on equal footing as their male counterparts. By tapping into innate female investment skills, which have long displayed characteristics that parallel financial success i.e., including paying off debt faster, adhering to financial goals, and saving routinely, we expect them to reach new heights with their investments further securing their financial future.

We believe in the “butterfly effect,” whereby the smallest of actions today translate into significant outcomes in the world of tomorrow. This theory applies directly to the world of personal finance, where small changes in savings, investing, and effort accumulating now can have significant effects on your total wealth in the future.

What services do you provide for clients?

We offer many services including wealth management, retirement planning, 401(k) planning, 529 College Savings plans and investment management. We invite you to explore and experience the power of our services. We also believe in the far-reaching benefits for our clients to get opinions from several sources with diverse backgrounds, education, and experience to find the right team to serve them.

For someone who is just starting their investing journey do you have any tips or advice to begin the process?

The longest journey begins with the first step, and of course, there are several small steps you can make in your finances now to advance you to becoming an Invested Woman®. We would first explore your ultimate financial goals and objectives, and then with keeping those goals in mind, work together in our “collab lab” to harness your annual earnings, your contributions and your employer contributions to your 401(k), your savings plan for your kids, and more to help move you toward those goals.

Have you seen a slowdown in women investing in Covid 19? Or in general? Do you have any tips to keep confidence in investing during a global pandemic?

We have seen an uptick in clients and referrals coming to us for wealth management during this time. The pandemic (as scary and tragic as it has been for many) has created opportunity for some to spend less due to restrictions causing them to save more. For others, it has challenged them as business owners to weather this storm. Whatever the case for each, it encourages us all to take a closer look at our lives, including our finances, reminding us how being prepared when something unexpected comes along can be so important.

It is true that women have been disproportionately impacted by Covid, and the pandemic has intensified challenges that women were already facing in the workplace, putting an even clearer focus on the benefits of taking control and reinforcing your personal financial goals and objectives. *Women in the Workplace (McKinsey & Company Leanin.Org Study 2020)

Invested Woman®’s goal is to help women harness their innate characteristics, encouraging them to save for retirement and become even more participatory in the markets, so they’ll achieve equal footing in determining their financial future.

Jeff, we appreciate your time today and look forward to the upcoming zoom conversation on February 23rd. If you have any questions for Jeff or want further information on Invested Woman® check out the website https://www.investedwoman.com/
